We had French Onion soup and the special soup was lobster bisque, which was incredible. 10 oz filet and teriyaki sirloin were both cooked to our liking perfectly. Sierra our server was very good and friendly, but not intrusive. We had dinner for two; they are not taking reservations right now, but we had no wait arriving about 30 minutes after opening. About Chuck’s Steak House

Chuck graduated from the Cornell Hotel and Restaurant School in 1956, and then moved to Hawaii, and in 1959, opened the first of a number of restaurants that bear his name in Waikiki. Ken Williams was the first of Chuck's partners to bring the concept to the East Coast. Ken opened the first Chuck's Steak House in the East with its salad bar operation over 35 years ago, in West Haven, Connecticut. We ordered three plates because we loved them so much, but if course ended up taking some home which worked great for leftovers the next day. Yes, it does feature one of the best salad bars in town and there are plenty of vegetable available, but they are mere warm-up acts for the main attraction, thick, juicy, aged cuts of Certified Angus Beef. Chuck’s serves virtually every cut of the cattle and grills them to perfection on a charcoal grill. The Peppercorn-Crusted New York Strip goes great with an ice-covered fish bowl draft beer from the bar. Chuck’s makes great prime rib, pork chops,  chicken, and a limited seafood menu is available for a nice surf-and-turf selection. Excellent steakhouse with fair prices and plenty of options.
